The Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) Award, organised in the framework of the EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK, is presented to cities and regions that show excellence in developing and implementing their SUMPs. The award was launched by the European Commission in 2012 with the aim to encourage the adoption of SUMPs by local authorities across Europe and to reward outstanding achievements in this field. Each year, the award highlights a different aspect of mobility planning. The theme of the 2017 edition is “Shared mobility in sustainable urban mobility planning”: the 6th SUMP Award will recognise authorities that show excellence in terms of properly integrating shared mobility into sustainable urban mobility planning.
